So, with engagement season coming up, let's talk about something super important. You know when a couple gets all lovey-dovey and excited after a proposal? Well, then come all the questions from friends and family about the wedding, and it can get pretty overwhelming, right?
These are my recommendations for the next steps in your planning journey:
Discuss and establish the budget together as a couple, involving any stakeholders.
Immediately start visiting venues after finalizing the budget. (I have plenty of advice for selecting the perfect venue. Another blog post on this topic? Definitely!)
Once you secure your venue, proceed to book vendors who can only commit to one wedding per day. These include wedding planners (haha), photographers, videographers, entertainers, and florists. Some of these vendors, like myself, have teams that allow them/us to handle multiple weddings in a day. Rest assured, we are well-prepared!
While booking these vendors, start envisioning the day's design. Begin creating a vision board or Pinterest board.
